Best Ways to “Beef” up Your Skincare

Plump skin is healthy skin, and healthy skin is always in. Here are some regimen basics and boosters that can help aid in collagen production.

Rejuv Rx

Dr. Fulton sets the gold standard for all cosmetic ingredients and formulations and Vivant Skincare products work like no other products we’ve seen on the market. Rejuv Rx is their answer to peptides. Peptides can be challenging to actually get into the skin, so while they are popular they are not always effective. Rejuv Rx is the peak of anti-aging with their oligopeptide that truly tightens, lifts, soothes, and plumps the skin –  you can be sure Dr. Fulton formulated this serum to go down deep into your skin.

MGF / TGF / EGF

Growth factors are kinda like the fun uncle to peptides, and they’re actually related – growth factors are peptides. On top of that, one of our favorite growth factor serums, MGF (Mechano Growth Factor) Renewal Solution Ampoule, also contains snail mucin filtrate and other peptides. Snail mucin filtrate is a trendy Korean skincare ingredient that has made a big impact on TikTok but we loved it first – it’s just snail secretion and has a big impact on nourishing skin!

Other growth factor serums that we carry and love to use include Le Mieux’s TGF-B Serum (Transforming Growth Factor Beta) which is in a hyaluronic acid base that’s composed of six different hyaluronic acids and it also contains peptides. It’s a great option to quickly turn around lackluster skin. Le Mieux’s EGF-DNA Serum (Epidermal Growth Factor) is a great option for sensitive skin with full-strength growth factors and very few other ingredients. Anyone with compromised or irritated skin can apply this serum up to two times per day, it’s especially miraculous in the winter.

Any of these three growth factor and peptide serums are beneficial to use after your Skin MPLS skin treatments to boost your skin’s production of collagen to the max. You can also regularly use them daily or nightly.

NuFACE

Once you have your product regimen on point, then this tool will skyrocket your skin goals. Read more about microcurrent here. To cut to the good stuff, it is exercise for your skin. Not even Botox can give you the lifting and plumping effect that the use of a NuFACE device can.

Derm-A-Renew

Vitamin A applied topically is a great way to build collagen because it aids in cellular turnover. Derm-A-Renew is the most gentle form of Vivant’s retinoid lineup, plus it has collagen-building peptides – so it is like two powerful serums in one. It’s a great starter serum for sensitive, mature, and/or dry skin. Learn more about vitamin A here.

Caviplla Multi-Serum

This funky little serum contains Poly-L Lactic Acid (PLLA), the same ingredient in the facial injectable Sculptra, and caviar extract in an oxygen carrier – meaning that it brilliantly foams up as you apply it and the oxygen drives the other actives further into your skin. PLLA is an ingredient used in injectable facial fillers, but applied topically it helps to support the skin and drive collagen production.

LightStim For Wrinkles

Red LED (Light Emitting Diode) therapy is being used in all types of alternative medicine to heal wounds and injuries and build new healthy tissue. Building collagen in your skin is no different. Red LED therapy works like photosynthesis to quickly grow healthy skin cells. It can soften wrinkles and bring down inflammation that leads to aging skin. Always opt for clinically-tried and tested devices. Learn more about LED here!

Microchanneling

Microchanneling is the ultimate builder of collagen (and elastin!), so much that it is referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). It creates micro wounds through your skin which signal to your skin to grow new skin. In addition to the needles creating collagen, microchanneling stamps in growth factors to the skin to push them deeper than your products alone can penetrate. It is one of the few ways to impact acne scarring and thicken the skin, especially for skin tones that are not laser candidates.
