GET TO KNOW SKIN MPLS: MEET JENAYE!
If you know us at Skin MPLS then you know we are a tight-knit team, so we want to introduce you to a new face you’ll be seeing in the studio. She may be new to you, but she is very familiar to us. She is not only a client here, she is also Leah’s long-time best friend and roommate. Best friends may not even be a strong enough word to describe these two, it’s more like soulmates. After you spend some time with Jenaye you’ll see why Leah never stops raving about her. She has amazing style, confidence, and an approachable personality with a great sense of humor. She brings the relaxed vibe to Skin MPLS we all could use these days. Even though she’s new, she is no stranger to the products. Feel free to ask her any questions you have. She loves to help, and she’s not afraid to get her hands dirty and be thrown right into Skin MPLS. After all, who doesn't love a chosen family?
How long have you been coming to Skin MPLS?
I’ve been coming into Skin MPLS since February of 2019. I am so thankful that Leah talked me into going because my skin has drastically improved since then.
Leah and you are as tight as it comes, tell us about when and how your friendship began?
Leah and I have been best friends since the 6th grade. Leah’s boyfriend at the time was signing off of AIM and told Leah to chat with me if she was bored. After instant messaging for a little while, we made plans to go see Ice Princess in theaters and have been friends ever since. We owe it all to awkward, middle school love ;)
Who is better at washing their face at night?
Leah, no questions asked. (Sorry, Cassie!)
You see Cassie, and we know she is strict when it comes to treating skin, what’s the hardest part about following her rules?
I was definitely a “picker” before coming into Skin MPLS. I haven’t kicked the habit completely, but I’m doing my best with that.
Are you more of an introvert or an extrovert?
I am an introvert for sure. I need my alone time here and there.
What skincare products are you loving right now?
The Vivant skincare routine Cassie put me on to has definitely changed my life, but I’ve been really focused on sunscreen recently. I am a huge fan of Supergoop’s Glowscreen, especially in these winter months. I find that it gives me some luminosity that I sometimes am lacking.
Besides skincare and working part time at Skin MPLS, tell us what else you might be found doing in your free time.
Like many on the Skin MPLS team, I am a huge movie and television fan. Weeknights you can find me vegging out, watching Real Housewives or This is Us. I love going to the movie theater and getting the whole experience. I also live really close to lakes and enjoy walking them. Minneapolis has so much amazing food to choose from, so you can find me trying a new restaurant on the weekends.
