Skin MPLS Is Going Euro!

Starting in the new year, we will no longer accept gratuity. We are all very excited about this and have been working towards it for a long time. Read more about what that means!

No more tipping?

We think of our treatments as more of a "need" than a "want." And we think of our aestheticians as professional skin therapists – not service providers. So, just like you wouldn't tip your doctor, therapist, or nutritionist – we don't want you to have to consider tipping us either.

January presents an opportunity to change our pay structure to compensate employees without relying on gratuities from clients. While this does mean a price change so that we can right-size our pricing to reflect the total value of the treatments offered, the change will be under the average tipping amount. And the good news is that this will further streamline your checkout process!

A little background is that our aestheticians have never expected to be tipped; it just organically started one day and grew without that being our intent. And as true midwesterners, we've always felt that we'd love for you to put that money towards a product for your skin instead of directly to us. It's more important to us that you get the treatment and follow the post-treatment protocols we have worked hard to create for you.

How do you thank your aesthetician without a tip?

Coming in for a treatment is more than enough to show the team your appreciation. Also, taking their product recommendations shows you trust them, value their expertise, and care about your skin. You are always welcome to email the team positive feedback as well! Please also feel free to leave a review on Yelp or Google or recommend us to your friends!

Thank you for standing by us in another exciting and monumental transition. We look forward to the next ten years of treating skin unlike any other studio we have come across. Skin MPLS is constantly evolving, and we are excited to be pioneers of the "no tipping future" by having appropriately priced treatments and paying our team properly.
