Get to know the Skin MPLS community: Meet Tracy!
Last month we got some serious skin advice and inspiration from the owner of Skin MPLS, Cassie. And now that we have met all of the staff, let’s move on to the more important part of Skin MPLS — our wonderful clients.
Seeing the same aesthetician for ten years takes some serious dedication on both ends! Tracy has followed Cassie from her first skin job up in Maple Grove. We are truly inspired by and thankful for this month's featured client, Tracy.
Some people want to keep their favorite Aesthetician a secret, in fear of them, becoming too hard to get into. But for this month's spotlight client, that is not that case — and we are grateful! And while Tracy’s raving reviews did have a big influence on making Cassie impossible to get an appointment with, she’s happy to share her with her all of her friends and family members on a quest for better skin.
When she’s not getting a facial treatment or her brows shaped, you are likely to find her relaxing with a book or working on her garden. Her two kids describe her as smart, hard-working, loving, driven, and someone that puts others first. We know that to be true! Thanks to Tracy, we are able to really build that family mentality at Skin MPLS. She’s the obvious choice for our first client to get to know!
What were your skin concerns when you first went to visit Cassie?
Acne, both scarring and current breakouts, I was just chasing my breakouts — which I had been doing since my first appointment with a dermatologist in 6th grade. Trying to get control, but never really tackling the overall health of my skin. Cassie took me on a different road, with a way more effective, proactive, and sustainable approach.
How have those changed over the last 12 years?
My acne is under way better control, my scarring has significantly improved, and I have been able to focus more attention on anti-aging and overall healthy appearance of my skin.
Peel or micro? Peel, the more intense the burn, the more effective it is. No pain, no gain!
Can you give us a quick rundown of who in your inner circle also sees Cassie?
Here in Minnesota, both of my teenagers, my BFF, and one of my sisters. Out of state, my mom travels from Montana, and my youngest sister travels from California; when they are visiting, they make a point to get services! She is sort of a big deal to our family!
What's your favorite vacation spot you've been to?
Montana, although I grew up in Montana and still consider this to be my home. Anywhere near the mountains is my favorite place to visit. Fills me up every time.
What does your ideal weekend look like in the days of Covid-19?
Drinks at Rustech Brewery here in Monticello on Friday night, outside in my yard on Saturday, double date with my BFF and her hubby on Saturday, long walk at Bertram Park with my sister on Sunday morning, and then family dinner with my sister and her family on Sunday night. Pretty much sums up every weekend of summer 2020.
What do you remember more vividly, your first kiss, or your first facial with Cassie?
Oh, for sure, a first facial with Cassie. I was on the heels of leaving for a girl's weekend and had recently started a new skincare line from my dermatologist. I had a horrible reaction — my entire face was a mess with blackheads. I was desperate for some down and dirty extractions. Cassie had an opening, and the rest is history. It was the beginning of a relationship that would not only blossom into a wonderful friendship but an opportunity for me to take a whole new approach to my skincare regimen. It allowed me to change my focus from oral/topical medications, and 'quick fixes' to a long-term health and wellness approach for my skin. Bonus, I get the secondary benefits of being pampered by Casie once a month.
